Getting Started With Home Exercise

A simple way to begin without equipment, pressure, or a perfect plan.

Start smaller than you think

Ten to fifteen minutes is enough to begin. Short sessions are easier to repeat, and repetition is what builds a habit. You can always extend later.

Choose a few simple movements

Pick three or four basic movements, such as a bodyweight squat, a wall push-up, a glute bridge, and a gentle stretch. Learn them well before adding more.

Warm up and cool down

Spend a couple of minutes moving your joints gently before you begin, and finish with slow stretching. It helps you ease into the session and out of it.

Listen to how you feel

Effort should feel manageable. If something feels wrong or painful, stop, and consider asking a qualified health professional for advice.
